Are you trying to become more conscious with your purchases? Are you trying to support brands who are doing right by their employees and the earth? It can be a struggle to know which brands to support when everyone says they are ethical, eco-friendly, or “green.” There is a lot of “greenwashing” going on right now. That means brands, companies, and other entities claim they are ethically or environmentally friendly without actually following through on their practice. It lures the customer into believing that they are supporting a product or business that shares their values when the company is lying to get your business.
Greenwash – noun
Disinformation disseminated by an organization so as to present an environmentally responsible public image.
