LastSwab
Created by LastObject, the Last Swab is a Q-Tip designed to replace disposable Q-Tips. This is an eco-friendly alternative to a single use Q-Tip and is durable, high quality, sanitary and made from non-toxic materials. The Q-Tip comes with a convenient biodegradable case and helps reduce waste. Pros: You only need to buy it once! So this LastSwab Q-tip saves you money, trips to the store and creates less clutter around your home. It cleans really easily and is great for traveling since it comes with a case. Cons: It does take some getting used to. It has little ridges that feel different from a regular Q-tip but not in a bad way, just different. It takes a little more work to clean out your ears, since it is not absorbent as a cotton q-tip. Ease of Use: 7/10 Cost: $12 + shipping Quality: This product is made really well. I have had mine for over 2 months now and it still looks brand new. Very durable. Would I purchase again: While it is an adjustment from the cotton Q-tips, I would purchase it again. I have only used it for cleaning my ears, not for make-up or any other purpose but it can accomplish the job and is better for the environment so it is a win-win in my book. Make-Up Remover Cloth
The make-up remover cloth is designed to be gentle on the skin, machine washable and last for several years. The ease and convenience of this make-up remover cloth with replace your single use make-up wipes, creating less waste and decrease our impact on the planet. Pros: This makeup remover cloth is really easy to use, just get it wet, wash of your face and viola! You are now free of even the toughest water-proof mascara. Super easy to clean, I just scrub it with my bar soap, suds it up and rinse, then throw it in with the towel whenever I am doing laundry. This product also saves me money because single use make-up remover wipes are expensive! Cons: It is made from polyester which is a synthetic plastic based fabric. I am not thrilled to use a petroleum-based man-made fabric but it beats the alternative of single-use make-up remover wipes. Ease of Use: 10/10 Cost: $20 Quality: These face clothes are extremely durable and soft. I have 4 of them and I
cycle through them every few days and they are all still going strong two years later. Would I purchase again: Absolutely! Hillary gave these two me two years ago for
Christmas and these are what sparked my interest in becoming more sustainable. I
remember the “ah-ha” moment when I used one for the first time, realizing how easy
it was and how much waste it saved from the disposable ones I used every day. I
realized that this was such as easy swap that I could do to help the Earth and I
became more curious about what else I could do to help. This began my journey into
sustainability and I owe it all to my sister Hillary and these face cloths. Where to Purchase: Make-up Eraser Reviewed by Ashley V. (No sponsor was involved with this review)
